The results look pretty decent for a low res particle system. At the moment I think the initial blast radius may be a bit narrow, Im planning to layer another emitter with it for the Planet Express model.

This model was created in Maya using poly and nurbs modeling techniques, texture maps were custom painted in Mudbox and Photoshop with normal maps generated for leather ear cups.
No post work has been done on the images rendered from Mental Ray.
